Spring in Chengdu! Don't miss the peach blossoms in Longquan (with guide)

Every year at this time, I make a trip to Longquan Mountain, even if it's crowded, even if there are many people, even if I've been there many times, I still go. Because only in this season, at this time, can you have a panoramic view of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, and also enjoy the peach blossoms covering the hills up close. The mood is incredibly refreshing, making one feel that everything can be lovely and pink.

Of course, the Longquan mountain range is vast, and there are many hiking routes to consider. Here are a few recommended routes for enjoying the flowers and the scenery at this time

Route 1️⃣
Xiangzhang Courtyard to Shijing Temple
Navigation: Xiangzhang Courtyard under the clouds, also accessible by public transport
Hiking distance: About 7km one way, you can take a taxi or bus back to the starting point from Shijing Temple.
Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It is not recommended for the elderly and children under 5 to go, as there are some steep slopes, and the roads can be slippery when it rains, so do not go.
We highly recommend this route, although it's a bit tiring for the legs, but you walk along the ridge with a broad view, and the path is basically lined with peach blossoms, very beautiful. This year, the blooming period should last until mid-April.

Route 2️⃣
Baoshi Lake Loop
Navigation: Baoshi Dream Peach Blossom Boutique Garden, accessible by bus to Baoshi Lake bus station
You can choose the big loop of 7 kilometers, or a smaller loop
Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
This route's feature is that it has mountains and water, surrounded by flowers, with not a high slope, suitable for the whole family for a light hike. It's also suitable for a leisurely stroll by the lake.

Route 3️⃣
Changsong Temple - Yuanbao Cliff Carvings - Yuanbao Village - Qingyinxi Cliff Carvings
Navigation: Changsong Temple
Difficulty: ⭐️
Total distance is 3.5 kilometers, mostly through country roads with some dirt paths, and you can take beautiful photos of the peach groves along the way. Suitable for the elderly and children for a light hike to enjoy the flowers, and it's not crowded.
