Wuhan's forgotten famous mountain, known as the blessed land of the river city, has excellent scenery but is little known

Longquan Mountain, formerly known as Jiangxia Mountain and Lingquan Mountain, is named after the clear spring pool and is called the blessed land of immortals. It is located near Liangzi Lake, surrounded by water on the southeast and north sides, with mountains and clear lakes, making it the most suitable place for mountain climbing in Wuhan.
Before the Tang Dynasty, it was known as Jiangxia Mountain, where many literati, scholars, and notables once lived in seclusion. At the end of the Tang Tianbao era, the prime minister Li Xi dug a well and found a spring, hence it was named Lingquan Mountain at that time, and later evolved into Longquan Mountain, which has been used to this day.
In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang designated this place as 'Qinshan'. It was planned as the mausoleum for each Chu king of the dynasty, gradually forming the 'Nine Ming Tombs', which amazed the world. Among them, the mausoleum of Zhu Zhen, known as 'Zhao Garden', is the most famous. Near the tombs, one can see the poetry of literati from all ages, 'Mountains quiet with clouds, waters clear with the full moon'...
Longquan Mountain also has a famous temple in Chu sky, 'Lingquan Temple', one of the largest Taoist sites in Central China. The temple has red walls and golden roofs, grand halls and pavilions, solemn and majestic, with towering buildings, ancient trees reaching the sky, and shaded green grass, with carved beams and painted rafters, making it a spectacular sight.
Although Longquan Mountain is not high, it has a seven-hundred-year-old elm tree that is still full of life. The green trail around the mountain is an excellent place for leisure. The air quality here is very good and fresh, with distant mountains and nearby woods, making one feel very comfortable, making it an excellent place for weekend hiking and relaxation.
