✓ Nashiki Shrine
Located on the outer edge of Kyoto Gyoen near the Kamo River, Nashiki Shrine is a hidden gem known for its autumn-blooming lucky clover flowers and pristine spring water. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene and uncrowded atmosphere.
Walking straight along the shrine's approach path, you'll find the sacred Katsura tree on the left side in front of the main hall. This tree is called the "Tree of Love" due to its heart-shaped leaves and the way it grows upward from its roots. It is believed to bring blessings for family love and romance.
Near the sacred tree is "Somei," one of Kyoto's three famous spring waters. This rare and precious well is the only one that continues to bubble without drying up.
