Fujian Longyan Yongding Tulou Photography Guide:
Yongding Tulou King (Chengqi Building)
1️⃣ Choose the right time: Try to visit in the early morning or late afternoon when the light is softer and the colors are richer, adding a dramatic effect to your photos. If you want to avoid the crowds, choose a non-holiday time.
2️⃣ Find a unique angle: Standing on the 2nd to 4th floors of Chengqi Building, you can capture the internal structure of the tulou and the distant mountains, creating a picture with rich layers. This is also a great spot to take photos of Big Fish & Begonia.
3️⃣ Use light and shadow effects: On sunny days, pay attention to the light and shadow formed by the light passing through the gaps and windows of the tulou and falling on the ground or walls. You can take artistic and mysterious photos.

Chuxi Tulou
1️⃣ Jiqing Building: As the oldest and most special round tulou in Yongding, the interior of Jiqing Building is well maintained and uninhabited. The clean and tidy red lanterns are great photo elements. You can climb the building and take photos of the internal structure and details of the tulou from different angles to feel the traces of time. From the fourth floor, you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the tulou group.
2️⃣ Songlian Pavilion Viewing Platform: Located on a small hill opposite the tulou group, you can overlook the entire Chuxi Tulou group from here, capturing the scattered tulou and the surrounding mountain and water scenery in one shot. It is the best place to take large-scale photos.
