[🇱🇦Laos] Things to experience in Luang Prabang❣️ 🌄 Begging for alms🌄

🌄 Almsgiving Experience in Luang Prabang🌄

Today, I'll share a special experience in Luang Prabang:
Almsgiving!

Almsgiving in Luang Prabang is a sacred ritual that takes place every morning. At sunrise, orange-robed monks quietly walk through the streets to receive food. Tourists are welcome to participate, but it's important to observe good manners and etiquette.

Even if you're walking alongside, videography and close-up photography are prohibited. 🙅♀️ Please observe and photograph quietly from a distance. 😌

Highlights and Things to Note about Almsgiving
Early Birds 😪: Almsgiving takes place early in the morning, so be ready by around 5:30 AM! ❣️

Watch Quietly: Remain quiet during the ritual, and flash photography is prohibited.

Appropriate Dress Code: Show respect by wearing clothing that covers your shoulders and knees.

Prepare food: If you choose to participate, you can purchase food offerings at local markets or stores. Instead of handing it over directly, gently place it in the monk's bowl.

Watching this ritual is truly spiritually cleansing. If you visit Luang Prabang, be sure to experience this sacred scene!
