That Phu Si

Phousi Mountain, Lao PDR
👍Located on a 150-meter-high hill in the center of Luang Prabang, Lao People's Democratic Republic, it was built in 1794 by King Anurud. Originally, this mountain was called Phousoung or Phousoung, but after a hermit lived there, the villagers called this mountain Phousi or Phousi, which means "the mountain of the hermit" since then.
🪷The pagoda is shaped like a square golden lotus, approximately 21 meters high, standing on a square base with a seven-tiered bronze umbrella. It is a sacred pagoda that Luang Prabang residents and tourists climb 328 steps to pay homage to throughout the year.
👍Tourists like to go up in the evening to watch the sunset and see the Mekong River and the World Heritage City of Luang Prabang from a high angle.
