The perfect route starts at the main gate in Hualougou Village and follows the walkway towards the unrestored sections—between the East Five-Window Tower and the Small Jinshan Tower. Get ready for a climb: the wall is steep and rugged here, so sturdy shoes are a must! Aim for sunrise or late afternoon for golden light and misty mountains—those iconic, insta-worthy moments are yours for the taking.
