Come relax in Luxi! This small town embraced by green mountains and clear waters holds so many surprises ✨ After two days of exploring, I found poetic landscapes, pastoral charm, and best of all—few tourists and amazing value for money!
🚶♀️Recommended Itinerary:
DAY1: Wugong Mountain Golden Summit → Cloud Grassland → Stargazing Tent Camp
📍Wugong Mountain Golden Summit:
A breathtaking viewpoint at 1,918 meters. Take the cable car up, then hike about 2 hours to the summit. In summer, see rolling alpine meadows; in autumn/winter, spectacular sea of clouds (Ticket: ¥70, cable car extra)
📍Cloud Grassland:
Near the summit, 100,000 acres of alpine meadows that look straight out of a Windows wallpaper! Tips: Wear anti-slip shoes—trails get slippery after rain
📍Stargazing Tent Camp:
A must-stay overnight! At 1,600m altitude, the Milky Way is clearly visible on clear nights 🌌 (Tent rental from ¥198)
DAY2: Nie Long Cave → Shankouyan Reservoir → Luxi Old Street
📍Nie Long Cave:
A super cool karst cave—perfect summer retreat! Constant 18°C inside (bring a light jacket) (Ticket: ¥60)
📍Shankouyan Reservoir:
Locals' secret photo spot with jade-blue waters. Best light at 4-5pm
📍Luxi Old Street:
Cobblestone paths + Ming-Qing architecture. Must-try: "Zhangji Dengzhan Cake" and "Liu's Tofu Pudding"—¥15 fills you up!
🍲Food Radar:
• Wugong Mountain Bamboo Rice: Cooked in fresh bamboo with fragrant aroma (sold at summit stalls)
• Luxi Smoked Meat: Most authentic at "Zhou's Smoked Delicacies" next to old teahouse
• Purple Rice Noodles: 8-hour bone broth base—look for red sign at old street corner
💡Practical Tips:
1. Wugong Mountain has big day-night temperature swings—bring jackets even in summer
2. Buy combo tickets (saves ¥30 for Golden Summit + Nie Long Cave)
3. Self-driving recommended (~2.5hrs from Nanchang)
4. Best seasons: May-Oct for grasslands, Nov-Apr for cloud seas
