Nanping Village, which belongs to Shayao Township, Huixian City, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, is a core scenic spot of the AAAA Wanxian Mountain Scenic Area. Taihang Stone King
Located between Shuizhaiyao Village and Beiyao Village, it is a huge rock that rolled down from the mountain when the earth's crust cracked. The bottom of the rock is buried in sand and gravel, and is exposed more than 20 meters above the ground; the upper part of the rock is a flat surface, tilted 20 degrees to the east.
Wufeng Mountain Forest
North of Nanping Village, five peaks rise from the cliffs, known as Wufeng Mountain. At 1,561 meters above sea level, they cover an area of over 10,000 mu (approximately 16,000 mu). Wufeng Mountain and the surrounding valleys and mountains are densely forested, forming the largest and oldest artificial forest in the southern Taihang Mountains. Wufeng Mountain's vast forests, frequented by various wild animals and boasting fresh, moist air, earn it the nickname "Taihang Oxygen Bar."

Located 4,000 meters east of Ma'an Village in Nanping, at an altitude of 1,517.1 meters, this fortress is where a general, dissatisfied with Wang Mang's usurpation of power, led his troops to settle down and proclaimed himself king. He built a wall around the fortress and forged an iron gate, earning it the name Tieda Fortress. Over the millennia, the iron gate has rusted into mud, and the houses have all collapsed into piles of stone, but the stone walls still remain. Ancient pines and wall foundations can be seen within the fortress, offering a moment of nostalgia and a moment of nostalgia. Standing atop Tieda Fortress, one can gaze out over the Yellow River, witness the sea of clouds and sunrise, and enjoy panoramic views of Wanxian Mountain.
Nanping Village, located in Yixian County, Anhui Province, is a millennium-old settlement with approximately 300 ancient dwellings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The village is renowned for its eight ancestral halls, earning it the title of "China's Museum of Ancient Ancestral Halls." It has also served as a filming location for acclaimed movies like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Ju Dou," highlighting its cinematic appeal.
Nanping Village is situated about 4 km southwest of Yi County in Huangshan City, Anhui Province. To reach the village, take a bus from Yi County Bus Station to Xiwu County, then disembark near the village entrance. The final stretch is approximately a 1 km walk.
The village is open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The optimal times to visit are from April to June and September to early November, offering pleasant weather and vibrant scenery.
The entrance fee is CNY 43. Tickets can be purchased at the village entrance or through various online travel platforms.
