Check in at Macau landmark 💕 Ruins of St. Paul’s

#MacauAttractions

The Ruins of St. Paul’s was formerly the front wall of St. Paul’s Church. It is one of Macau’s landmark buildings and the “Sacred Site of the Ruins of St. Paul’s”, one of the eight scenic spots in Macau. The name "Grand Ruins of St. Paul's" came from the fact that "Sanba" is the transliteration of "Saint Paul" (São Paulo). The word "Da" was added in front to distinguish it from another small Ruins of St. Paul's Church. And because it looks very much like a traditional Chinese archway, it was named "Grand Ruins of St. Paul's Archway".

Although only a wall remains after the Ruins of St. Paul's burned down, one can still see that the structure of the former St. Paul's Church and its exquisite reliefs were very imposing. As you go up the steps and get closer to the archway, you can see the exquisite reliefs on the front wall and their meanings more closely. The more you look at them, the more exquisite and shocking they are.

The Ruins of St. Paul’s is one of Macau’s popular landmarks and one of the famous internet celebrity check-in spots that tourists must visit when traveling to Macau. How can you miss it?
