European Charm and Urban Pulse - Senado Square and St. Dominic's Church in Macau

Today's journey begins at Senado Square in Macau, a plaza paved with Portuguese-style mosaic stones and one of the most iconic historical districts in the city. Surrounded by colorful European-style buildings, the Baroque arches and balconies exude a strong Southern European flair. I strolled along the streets, weaving through century-old pharmacies, souvenir shops, and cafes, appreciating the city's unique leisurely lifestyle.
At the corner, I arrived at the elegant St. Dominic's Church, a 16th-century Catholic church known for its soft yellow exterior and green shutters. As I stepped inside, the statue of the Virgin Mary on the dome quietly watched over the faithful, and the soft light filtering through the stained glass bathed the entire church in a sacred tranquility. The afternoon passed slowly as I sat on a bench in the square, savoring a cup of Portuguese coffee, quietly absorbing the city's rich history and unique charm.
