Jiu'ao Village: A Quiet Time Hidden Between Mountains and Sea

Away from the bustling Cotai, Kow O Village shows a completely different face. This small village hidden between the mountains and the sea, seems to be still on the other side of time. As soon as I entered the village, a winding path led me forward, with the soft whispers of the breeze blowing through the coconut trees in my ears, and the whispers of the waves lapping on the rocky shore in the distance. The quaint houses in the village are arranged in an orderly manner, with green tiles and white walls set against the blue sky, which makes them look particularly harmonious. The Chapel of Our Lady of Kowloon stands quietly in a corner, and its simple architectural style makes people feel more friendly. Pushing open the wooden door of the chapel, sunlight shines through the window, enveloping a piece of warmth inside, like the soft light of time caressing every inch of space. Walking along the coast, I came to Jiuao Reservoir, the water surface is like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountains, forests and white clouds. The tranquility here seems to wash away the inner hustle and bustle, only the sound of birdsong and water waves accompany me wandering. Jiuao Village is a paradise after escaping from the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by mountains and seas, the scenery is pure and simple. Whether you are strolling through it or sitting in meditation, it makes people nostalgic and peaceful.
