A Luxurious Experience at Raffles Hotel Macau

The positive impression of Raffles began as soon as we disembarked from the ferry. The butler greeted us, and the name tag did not display the guest's name, ensuring privacy. The butler's appearance was also carefully considered, a 186cm tall, fair-skinned gentleman who was both professional and attentive. I have always wondered why most butlers in Chinese hotels are female, as these positions sometimes require helping guests with their luggage, which can be physically demanding, especially for guests with a lot of luggage.

The hotel lobby is grand and impressive. The Galaxy Hotel already has a luxurious style, and Raffles itself leans towards this type, combining to create an ultimate luxury experience. The room space is not large, but the design and furniture are exquisite, with excellent overall quality, meeting the high standards of Macau hotels.

For dinner, we tried the hotel's sushi restaurant, Sushi Kissho. The interior design, quality of ingredients, and service were all top-notch, clearly aiming for Michelin stars. After dinner, we took a stroll around the mall downstairs and then went to Long Bar. This branch has a different style from those in Singapore and Phnom Penh, with a more modern design and a great atmosphere. We ordered the local version of the 'Singapore Sling'—the 'Macau Sling,' which tasted great. The bar also has stylish private booths, perfect for small gatherings.

Upon returning to the room, the real surprise awaited—a 'dusk experience' prepared for the turndown service. The room had a bubble bath ready and a bottle of Dom Perignon. Although Dom may not be a big deal for some, it was the first time I encountered such treatment in a basic suite at a Chinese hotel.

The hotel also excelled in details that Asian guests particularly appreciate, such as luggage tags, room cards, slippers, and even hangers engraved with the guest's initials. The room also had a delicate pillow menu, and the turndown service was more meticulous than mainland hotels, with the bathroom floor and glass kept dry and the bath gel bottles spotless.

I was very satisfied with this stay and will definitely return in the future. I also recommend everyone to give it a try.
