I'm here @ St. Lawrence Church, Macau

#MacauAttractions

Macau's Fong Shun Church, also known as St. Lawrence Church, is one of the three ancient churches in Macau and has a long history. The church was first built in the mid-16th century and was rebuilt several times before finally reaching its current size in 1846. Chinese people are accustomed to calling it "Fengxin Hall", which is pronounced as "Fengshun Hall" in Cantonese, meaning "good weather and good harvest".

The church was designed and renovated by Macau architect Thomas Aquino. The church's patron saint is Saint Lawrence, which is also the origin of its name. The Church of St. Lawrence adopts the neoclassical architectural style. The interior of the church is elegantly decorated and the atmosphere is solemn. On the stained windows around the church, biblical themes and modern shapes complement each other, creating a sense of complexity and simplicity, allowing the church to remain peaceful and quiet in the bustling city.

The church stands on a high platform, surrounded by green trees and a quiet and pleasant environment. Fong Shun Tong is not only a cultural heritage of Macau, but also one of the must-visit attractions for tourists to experience the historical sedimentation and tranquil atmosphere! !
