Macau Artsy Getaway | Stay at a Portuguese-style Romantic Hotel

I've always felt that Macau 🇲🇴 is a city brimming with artistic vibes, though I used to visit in a rush. With two days off, I finally arranged a leisurely artsy trip with my mom.

This time, we specifically chose the Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau on Macau Peninsula. Close to the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal and with shuttle buses 🚌 from the Border Gate, it offers easy access to attractions like Senado Square, Lover's Lane, and Rua da Felicidade.

The hotel's interior blends Portuguese elegance with modern touches. The hand-painted blue tiles alone are eye-catching, but it also features numerous art pieces like vintage chandeliers and a replica of the "Window of Tomar." Every corner is photogenic—you can snap stunning shots without even leaving the hotel, feeling like you're on a Portuguese holiday 👒.

The hotel also boasts great amenities, such as the AMAGO Art Gallery, a year-round heated outdoor pool, and an authentic Thai spa. We enjoyed a Thai-style afternoon tea at the 🌴 NAAM Thai Restaurant—perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavors with a tangy, summery twist. The staff even kindly helped us take group photos!

Of course, no trip to Macau is complete without trying Portuguese cuisine. For dinner, we dined at 🍽 The Conservatory on the second floor. The bacalhau, potato and vegetable soup, and Portuguese seafood rice were all excellent—highly recommended.

We stayed in a Premium Deluxe Room on the 18th floor with a spacious balcony offering stunning sea views. The butler even prepared a welcome gift: a handwritten note and Macau-style pastries.

This hotel truly impressed us with its ambiance, service, and dining. We spent a relaxing day unwinding here. For sisters planning a Macau citywalk, this hotel is definitely worth trying!
