My friend was stunned when seeing the photos! You can actually cycle by the sea in Macau 🚲
📌Right in Coloane, there’s a hidden treasure route where you can ride a bike and enjoy the sea! Starting from Coloane town, feel the sea breeze and check in at 4 stunning photo spots. The best part is, there are few people and great shots 📷~locals are super friendly❤️
🌟Highlights of the cycling route:
📍Start: Coloane Main Street
Bike rentals here are very reasonable! The shop we found didn’t even charge a deposit. The first hour is 20 MOP per bike, and from the second hour it’s 10 MOP, super cost-effective!
📍First stop: Cheoc Van Beach
A rare sandy beach secret in Macau, with crystal-clear water and colorful houses by the shore giving a Mediterranean vibe
📍Second stop: Hac Sa Beach Park
Macau’s only black sand beach, very unique! We saw quite a few people riding electric surfboards (first time seeing this) and sailing ⛵️
📍End: Macau’s southernmost point
Facing the Lingdingyang Sea, the sea and sky blend here into an amazing view
📷Photo tips:
1. It’s recommended to start after 3 PM when the light is softest
2. The stone jetty at Cheoc Van Beach and the waves at Hac Sa are perfect backgrounds
3. Clothing suggestions: white or bright colors match the sea view better
🍴Food stops:
- Coloane town: Fei Wai Café, Andrew’s Egg Tarts Main Store
💡Useful info:
▫️The full big loop is about 8 km, cycling plus photo stops take about 3 hours; the small loop is about 4 km. There are quite a few slopes, so it’s a bit challenging physically!
▫️The UV by the sea is strong, remember to apply sunscreen
This route perfectly avoids the tourist crowds~while few know about it, hurry and save it for your next check-in!
