Just landed in Madrid and wow, this city is straight out of Inception 🤯♟️ – twisty streets, mind-bending architecture, and unbeatable energy! Here’s my must-see guide to squeeze the best out of your visit.
Top Spots to Visit in Madrid:
1. Royal Palace of Madrid (Centro, 28071 Madrid, Spain)
Totally majestic – feels like time travel! Oct-Mar hours are 10am-4pm (Mon-Sat), 10am-6pm (Sun). Heads up: last entry is an hour before close and admission is €183. Pro-tip: go early to avoid tour groups and get those epic courtyard shots.
2. Gran Via (Centro, Madrid)
Open 24/7 so hit it whenever. Neon signs, quirky shops, and snack stops everywhere. If you’re a night owl, this is the spot!
3. Prado Museum (Retiro, 28014 Madrid, Spain)
An art lover’s paradise. Mon-Sat 10am-8pm, Sun until 7pm, €125 entry. Grab tickets online and try for weekday mornings – less crowds, better art viewing vibes.
4. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium (Av. de Concha Espina, 1, Chamartín)
Calling football fans! Jan-Aug most days open 9am-7pm, Sundays 9:30am-6:30pm, entry €273. Stadium tours are super organized (bring ID), and the rooftop views rule.
Getting Around:
Madrid Metro is easy to use; grab a multi-day travel card if you’re staying more than 48 hours. Taxi apps are everywhere but walking between these top spots is totally doable.
Food:
Don’t leave without tasting churros at San Ginés near Gran Via or order tapas at El Sur (Calle de la Torrecilla del Leal, 12). Madrid is all about late dinners, so pace yourself!
Weather & Travel Tips:
Sunny most of the year, but winter evenings get chilly. Credit cards accepted nearly everywhere. Book all major attractions with trip.com for smooth entry and bonuses.
