The first step to the temple, sunlight hits the golden Lanna sculptures, instantly brightening the entire courtyard. 🌤️
The entrance is flanked by intricately carved nagas. Walking through them, I feel a sense of calmness that I can't describe. Upon entering the temple, the golden ceiling, murals, and white and gold Buddha statues contrast with the natural light, creating a mystical yet delicate feeling, as if my faith has been refined.

Don't miss highlights:
• The Great Buddha Plaza on the Hill: The breeze, the distant mountain views, and the air are incredibly refreshing. 🍃
• The Naga Stairs & Archway: The detail is rich. Wide-angle shots or close-up shots of the designs are beautiful.
• The Wood and Gold Vihara: The morning and evening light perfectly reflects the Thai designs, creating a truly aura.

The feeling after paying respects:
Peaceful, fulfilling, and like a renewed determination. Upon leaving the temple, my heart feels light, yet with a strange energy. 💛

Travel (Brief)
From Chiang Rai City Drive along Highway 118 heading towards Chiang Mai for about an hour (+-) to the temple. There's ample parking and a comfortable walk.
