Stranded But Still Happy: My Amazing Malta Adventure! 🇲🇹☀️

Being dropped off halfway by a taxi couldn't even dim my spirits in Malta! I just had an incredibly enjoyable two days there.
Right from the airport, I hopped in a taxi straight to the Blue Grotto. It only cost me 8 euros, which felt incredibly cheap, especially considering that's often just the starting fare in Milan! After exploring the Blue Grotto for a bit, I grabbed another taxi directly to Golden Bay. It was super convenient with restrooms right by the beach, so I could change into my swimsuit and jump straight into the sea. The water was still a little chilly for this time of year, but plenty of people were already swimming.
Back at my hotel, I tried some of Malta's famous roasted rabbit and horse meat. The rabbit was particularly delicious and fragrant! My hotel also had an amazing infinity pool on the rooftop – if you're booking, definitely get a room in a hotel with a pool for those perfect photos!
My second day was all about a city walk in Valletta. From there, I took a boat to the Three Cities (Birgu, Senglea, and Cospicua). Personally, I found the Three Cities even more charming than Valletta. They were less crowded, the houses were beautiful, and the colorful doors and windows were fantastic for photos. The locals were genuinely happy to see me taking pictures in front of their homes; some even moved things out of the way for my shots and wished me a good day!
Overall, despite the minor taxi mishap, my Malta trip was truly delightful and full of pleasant surprises.
