I recently stayed at Sunrise Chalet in Marang, Terengganu, and it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. The chalet is located right by the beach, offering a beautiful view of the sea and even Pulau Kapas in the distance. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunrise from the front of the chalet was honestly the highlight of my stay. It’s a simple, no-frills kind of place, not a luxury resort, but it has everything you need for a comfortable short getaway. The room was cozy, air-conditioned (from 7pm - 7am) and clean, and I appreciated that they provided basic facilities like WiFi, parking, and BBQ space.

What I liked most was the calm atmosphere, it’s quiet, breezy, and perfect for unwinding away from the city. However, it’s worth noting that some of the amenities are quite basic. Don’t expect hotel-level service or fancy setups, and you might want to bring along your own utensils or toiletries. Still, for the price and the unbeatable beachfront location, I’d say it’s definitely worth it.

I’d recommend Sunrise Chalet to anyone looking for a simple, peaceful stay by the sea, especially couples, families, or anyone planning a visit to Pulau Kapas nearby.
