Marugame｜Late-night Udon Noodles and a Super Hotel Close to Marugame Castle and the Station

Having stayed at various Super Hotels across Japan, I often found issues like poor soundproofing or insufficient breakfast options. Especially as room rates have risen, I started opting for other hotel chains. However, staying at this Super Hotel in Marugame brought back the nostalgic feeling of my first Super Hotel experience years ago.

First, the rooms: After renovation, the space feels more open with a combined bar and sofa replacing the fridge cabinet and chairs. The room is equipped with an air purifier and a refreshing air freshener, unlike other branches that use alcohol-based substitutes. The large windows offer a view of Marugame Port.

The public bath is separated for men and women, unlike other branches where usage alternates, often leaving men to wait until late at night to bathe.

A delightful surprise here is the late-night udon noodle service, and for breakfast, you can choose curry udon noodles. The dining area is clean and bright, without staff rushing you to finish your meal. The bread selection is also impressive, with freshly baked bread continuously replenished, eliminating the need to reheat cold bread and causing long queues.

Location-wise, it's very convenient, situated between Marugame Station and Marugame Castle. It's an ideal base for visiting Kotohira Shrine or the Iya Kazura Bridge. Plus, the room rates are slightly more affordable compared to Takamatsu.
