Matsumoto Castle - Night Cherry Blossoms (Limited Edition)

Matsumoto Castle's night cherry blossom viewing is one of the most romantic springtime activities in Matsumoto. Every year in early April, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the castle's surroundings, including the moat and ancient cherry trees, transform into a sea of pink flowers. At night, the illuminated castle creates a dreamy night cherry blossom scene.

The nighttime lighting of Matsumoto Castle highlights the elegant contrast between the black castle keep and the cherry blossoms. Reflections of lights and blossoms on the moat's surface create picturesque views that attract many photographers. Visitors often stroll around in traditional kimonos, adding to the romantic atmosphere. There are also special cherry blossom viewing areas, tea refreshments, and market activities during this period.
