🏯Nagano: Introducing Matsumoto Castle, a surviving castle tower!

Matsumoto Castle is one of the five national treasure castle towers that still exist.
The size of the inner moat was calculated so that bullets would not reach the castle if fired from outside the moat, but would reach it if fired from inside the castle, which is higher than the moat. It is a practical castle, but depending on the angle from which you view it, it can also look like a calm castle with beautiful parapets.
