Located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Shikoku, this hot spring is said to be the oldest in Japan and appears in the "Nihon Shoki." It is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan.
It is also depicted in Natsume Soseki's novel "Botchan," and is a representative tourist spot in Ehime Prefecture.
