During a sightseeing trip to Dogo Onsen, I visited 'Nabeyaki Udon Manma,' a long-loved local specialty restaurant. The warm and cozy interior creates a homely atmosphere, making it a relaxing space to unwind.
The signature dish, nabeyaki udon, is served in an aluminum pot and features chewy udon noodles, chicken, fried tofu, and a generous amount of egg. It comes with a side of kelp tempura, adding a delightful roasted flavor. Priced at just 600 yen, it's an affordable and enjoyable treat.
Another popular item is their homemade potato croquettes, priced at only 100 yen each. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they are simply irresistible.
If you visit Dogo Onsen, be sure to stop by 'Manma' to warm your heart and body with their delicious nabeyaki udon.
