ANA Crowne Plaza Matsuyama Annex Single Room

I chose ANA Crowne Plaza Matsuyama among the hotels located in Okaido. The reservation was made about two months ago for the smallest 14-square-meter annex single room.

The hotel has an arcade entrance next to Mitsukoshi, which is more convenient to use than the main entrance. However, this entrance closes late at night, so you can use the main or rear entrance during those hours. The hotel is divided into the main building and the annex.

The main building is taller, has better facilities, larger rooms, and is more expensive. The annex, on the other hand, is located on floors 3 to 8 in a separate building and has limited views. I checked in around 3:30 PM and was assigned a room at the end of the highest floor, the 8th floor.

Among the annex single rooms, this was the highest location, and the view was slightly better, allowing me to see the sky instead of just a wall. To reach the annex rooms, you need to pass through the main building on the 1st floor and enter the separate annex building.

From the room, the window faces the direction of Matsuyama City Station's Ferris wheel, with the main building visible across. Based on LunaSol's review and window view photos, the left side shows the annex building where I stayed.

The condition of the room was better than expected. Being at the end of the hallway, it was quiet with good soundproofing, and the room felt slightly more spacious, which was nice. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor of the main building, so you need to take the elevator down to the 1st floor, go to the main building, and then switch elevators.

I checked out around 7 AM and went up for breakfast. The breakfast offers a mix of standard options and local specialties. Personally, I felt the breakfast at Okayama and Kanazawa last year was slightly better.

However, there are advantages here too. The fruit selection is excellent, and you can enjoy rich and refreshing fruit juice to your heart's content. The open view of Matsuyama Castle is also fantastic. Additionally, the Okaido limousine bus stop is just a 20-second walk from the hotel, making it very convenient. Thank you.
