Discovering Melaka: Time Travel, Street Food & A Floating Pirate Ship

Melaka definitely knows how to serve culture, history, and calories all in one go—and I was here for every minute of it! 😍

🚢 Flor de la Mar Maritime Museum
Kicked things off with a deep dive into Melaka’s seafaring past aboard a replica of a Portuguese ship. Felt like a full-time explorer, part-time pirate. Super cool exhibits, plus great views from the deck—just try not to fall overboard taking selfies. 😅

🎭 Encore Melaka
If history class had looked like this, I might’ve paid attention. A 360-degree rotating stage, beautiful lighting, and a performance that covered 600 years of Melakan history with goosebump-level storytelling. Emotional, immersive, and just… wow. 👏

🎡 Malaysia Heritage Studios (formerly Malaysia & Asia Cultural Park)
Toured mini versions of iconic landmarks from across Malaysia and Asia—all without needing a passport. Bonus: got to wear traditional costumes, pretend I knew history, and take 237 photos pretending I was in different countries. Passport not needed, but your camera better be ready!

🌃 Jonker Street Night Market
Ended the day where every great Melaka trip should—at Jonker Street.
🍢 Satay, dim sum, coconut shakes, and snacks I couldn’t even name but happily ate.
🛍️ Bought souvenirs I don’t need and T-shirts I’ll definitely wear once.
🎶 Live music, packed crowds, and street vibes that felt straight out of a travel show.

Melaka, you’re a wild mix of the past and present—and my feet are tired but my heart (and stomach) is full. Already planning round two! 💃
