This time I took my parents to Malacca and when choosing a hotel I paid special attention to the location, atmosphere and comfort. As for the service, it was as friendly as I imagined;the front desk staff took the initiative to assist, and some room types also had Chinese service, with zero barriers to communication. Some areas are designed to be hipster, the courtyard is vibrant, and you can sit and chill and talk at night. I quite praised the breakfast, a mix of local specialty foods and Western options, guests generally said there were enough styles, good taste, early after breakfast can go out for a day.

The biggest highlight of the hotel is the history of the old house and the Nanyang style, which my grandfather and mother said was comfortable and characteristic: there are antique shelves and nostalgic designs everywhere, and it feels like you are in the heyday of Malacca a hundred years ago. There are so many photo spots, especially the courtyard, corridors, and wooden doors on the main building. If you like photography or want to take pictures of Nanyang retro feel, staying here will be satisfied.

(Practical TIPS):
Small reminder, some of the hotel facilities are older, sound insulation is general, some guests will mind, if you are particularly concerned about the clean environment and privacy, can be expected; Many room types include breakfast and have self-service options (although there are fewer choices); if you drive you can check in advance if there is a parking space.

Closing tip: Popular room types at the Richmond will be packed during peak season and early booking is recommended, especially for summer and growth holidays. Malacca city area is very small, two days and one night slowly walk to see the rich attractions, at night remember to go to Chicken Farm Street to eat sweet soup, night market authentic snacks, during the day can visit the major museums. To take my parents to choose accommodation with convenient transportation and retro atmosphere, Fuli Hotel Malacca is my first choice.
