For sisters wanting to experience the tropical rainforest and ethnic culture in Xishuangbanna, look here🌴! The scenery is as beautiful as a painting, and the cultural heritage is rich—every snap is a masterpiece~
🌿 Must-visit attractions:
📍Zongfo Temple
The oldest Buddhist temple in Xishuangbanna, with magnificent golden halls and the stunning 500-year-old palm-leaf scriptures! It’s best to visit before 8 AM when the sunlight on the golden pagoda is especially dreamy✨
📍Manting Park
A park transformed from the Dai King’s royal garden, featuring Southeast Asian-style architecture and a tropical botanical garden. Wearing Dai ethnic costumes for photos is absolutely beautiful! Don’t miss the peacock release show in the park🦚
📍Gaozhuang Xishuangjing
The Starlight Night Market is here! The evening lights create a fantastic atmosphere, and you can find all kinds of Dai handicrafts. It’s recommended to come at dusk, first capture the sunset at the White Pagoda, then explore the night market🌆
📍Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences
The largest tropical botanical garden in China, riding an electric cart through the exotic flowers and plants is super healing~ Remember to bring mosquito repellent! The giant water lily pond is a must-visit, and in summer you can even try sitting on the giant water lily😉
🍍 Food recommendations:
✅ Dai-style barbecue: must-try lemongrass grilled fish and grilled pork belly
✅ Pineapple rice: sticky rice steamed in a pineapple bowl, sweet and delicious
✅ Pounded chicken feet: a sour and spicy Dai specialty snack
📌 Practical tips:
1. Xishuangbanna’s climate is hot and humid, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses
2. Many attractions have ethnic performances, check the schedule in advance so you don’t miss out
3. Always bargain at the night market! Cutting the price in half is considered polite
4. The Water Splashing Festival in April is the liveliest time to visit, but book accommodation 2 months in advance
