A road trip in Yunnan led me to an unexpected paradise, Menglian!

I was driving from Xishuangbanna to Pu'er and planned to go to Lincang from Pu'er. I passed a county called Menglian, which has an ancient town called Nayun. There is also a park called Three Mountains and One River in the ancient town, which is very beautiful.

This is the hometown of avocados, but unfortunately, I didn't buy any. I saw some avocados that were ready to be shipped, so I went to the nearby farmers' market to buy some. However, I lost interest when I saw the avocados in the market, so I still don't know what they taste like!

Then I went to Nayun Ancient Town and found several Buddhist temples and a place called Menglian Xuanfu Yamen. This was probably the residence of the local emperor of Menglian in the past. Unfortunately, it was already 5 pm and the place was closed. I could only see if I could visit it again tomorrow.

After visiting the ancient town, I saw a sign on the side of the road indicating that there was a large golden pagoda ahead. It was not far from Nayun Ancient Town, so I walked along the river to see it. The riverside was well-maintained, with a boardwalk and greenery along the way.

When I arrived at the large golden pagoda, I found that I had to pay 5 yuan to enter, so I didn't go in. I walked around it because it wasn't very big, and I could see everything from the outside.

After visiting the ancient town, I returned to the car and searched for nearby attractions. I found a place called Jingmai Mountain and planned to visit it tomorrow.
