The Emerald River — Nho Que, Ha Giang

Our visit to Nho Que River in Ha Giang was one of the most unforgettable parts of our trip. Seen from above, the emerald river curves like a ribbon through steep mountains — calm, magical, and endlessly beautiful. 🌿

We took a boat ride from Tu San Canyon, gliding through the jade-green water surrounded by high limestone cliffs. The scenery felt surreal — quiet, fresh air, and mountains rising on both sides. Every moment on the river felt peaceful and full of wonder.

From the Mã Pì Lèng Pass viewpoint, the river looked even more stunning, like a painting deep within the mountains. It’s a place that makes you truly appreciate the wild beauty of northern Vietnam.

Getting there: Start from Dong Van or Meo Vac, then take a short ride to the boat station near Tu San Canyon.
Pro tip: Visit between October and April for the best water color and clear skies — early morning light is perfect for photos! ☀️
