Milford Sound, New Zealand

Located in Fiordland National Park in the southwestern part of New Zealand's South Island, this fjord is part of Te Wahipounamu and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Natural Heritage).
The sheer rock walls of the fjord, the towering mountain peaks, and waterfalls with a drop of up to 1000 meters... Rudyard Kipling described Milford Sound / Piopiotahi as the 'Eighth Wonder of the World,' and it is breathtakingly beautiful in any weather. The waterfalls are especially magnificent after rain, as the increased water flow makes the majestic scenery even more impressive.
