Located at the foot of Mount Aso, Kusasenri-no-Hama, 1,140 meters above sea level, is a vast green paradise. This is the remains of a double-layer crater formed 30,000 years ago, with a huge grassland with a diameter of 1 km and two clear ponds dotted in the middle. In clear weather, the scenery looks like the classic photos on the Windows desktop in the past, so beautiful!

Horses strolled leisurely on the grassland, quietly enjoying the green grass. Many tourists chose to experience horse riding, but I chose to give up because I saw that the boss’s attitude towards horses was not very good.

There is a large parking lot in Kusasenri that charges 500 yen. In addition to the prairie, there is also the Aso Volcano Museum to visit, and there are restaurants and cafes nearby. It is recommended to set aside 1-2 hours to visit Kusasenri-no-Hama.
