✈️ Mansei Special Attack Peace Memorial Hall

The last special attack base of the Japanese Army.

The last special attack base of the Japanese Army, Mansei Airfield, was built at Fukiagehama from the summer of 1943 to the end of 1944.

This is a memorial hall built to pray for eternal peace.

Photography is allowed on the second floor of the hall, and the main exhibit is a Zero-type seaplane reconnaissance plane salvaged from Fukiagehama.

There are many exhibits of blood-written letters, belongings, and portraits of soldiers who were close to death, which contain their final messages to their relatives and loved ones, and it was impossible to look at them without crying.

I think this is a memorial hall that should be preserved for future generations.
