Want to visit the magical Ghibli Museum in Mitaka? Here are some hot tips to help you score tickets before they sell out (trust me, the struggle is REAL! 😅).
First things first — tickets drop online only at the official site every month on the 10th at 10am Japan time. You’re buying for the next month, NOT the current month, so plan ahead and set those alarms ⏰! There are several time slots for entry. Be quick with your pick because popular ones vanish in seconds.
Pro tip: The museum closes at 6pm, and last entry is at 4:25pm. Don’t be late, or you’ll miss out! If you’ve got more devices, use them. The queuing system gives out spots at random, but DO NOT refresh — just wait it out patiently. More screens = better luck.
Tickets are about ¥1,000. Always buy directly from the Ghibli Museum’s official site — don’t get scammed and overpay elsewhere! This way, you’ll get the legit ticket and save cash for other Mitaka fun.
Inside, don’t skip the exclusive short film (it switches monthly and is a total must-watch!). The museum’s gift shop is gorgeous but $$$. Heads up: no tax-free shopping for foreigners, but if you want those rare Studio Ghibli collectibles, this is the only place.
Arrive on time — if you’re late, you’re not getting in, no matter what!
Ghibli Museum Info:

Have an epic time — the Ghibli vibes are sooo worth it! 🍃✨ I hope that helped
