Cape Higashihennazaki is located at the easternmost point of Miyakojima, Okinawa.

It's about a 40-minute drive from Miyako Airport.

After parking in the nearest parking lot and walking,

you pay the entrance fee (300 yen or more) in front of a prefabricated hut.

It's a donation, so some people didn't pay because there were many people passing by at the same time...

I feel that this money is necessary for the local people to maintain the vast and beautiful Miyakojima.

The view that can be seen from there, a short walk away, is magnificent.
The contrast of the cliffs, unfamiliar tropical plants, blue sky, white clouds, and vivid sea!
The sea breeze is also pleasant, and it's a view that you can look at forever, which cleanses your soul.
Since it's the easternmost point, there's nothing to obstruct your view when you face the sea.
It makes you feel like jumping in right away!
It seems that people from all over the island gather here on events such as the first sunrise of the year, and huge traffic jams occur.
You can also climb the lighthouse. The view from the lighthouse seems amazing.

A local person in a prefabricated hut told me that the view from the area where the concrete of the road changes color is great on the way back, so I parked my car nearby and took a look.
The color of the sea was amazing, so I couldn't help but sit down and take a photo.

It seems that photos of Cape Higashihennazaki from here are often used for airline campaigns on Miyakojima.
