[Okinawa Prefecture] A spectacular view of trumpet lilies and a lighthouse! "Higashi Heianazaki"

Higashi Hennazaki is a cape that stretches for about 2km at the easternmost tip of Miyakojima Island.

In spring, it is known for its clusters of trumpet lilies, and is designated as a national natural monument.

Furthermore, it is one of the most scenic spots in Miyakojima, having been selected as one of the nation's scenic spots and one of the 100 most scenic spots in Japan's urban parks.

The lighthouse is a rare "climbable lighthouse" in the country, and the admission fee is 200 yen.

There are promenades in the surrounding area, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

In the sea at the tip of the cape, there is a huge rock that is said to have been washed ashore by the "Great Meiwa Tsunami" that occurred in the mid-Edo period.

📍Location: 1221-14 Jobebora, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture
