[Okinawa, Shimoji Island] A paradise for sea and airplane lovers ✈️

About 30 minutes by car from the center of Miyakojima City 🚘
The northern tip of Shimoji Island, adjacent to Irabu Island after crossing the Irabu Ohashi Bridge, is the popular tourist spot 17END.

The beauty of the ocean is particularly noteworthy ✨
And since Shimoji Island Airport is right next to it, you can also enjoy planes taking off and landing ☝️
In the summer, there are more southerly winds, so there are more opportunities for planes to land on this 17END route, making it a great place to take pictures of the ocean and planes.
(In winter, it is mainly 35END, so it is not suitable for photography)

This time, in addition to the regular flights, Solaseed Air was practicing touch-and-goes with repeated takeoffs and landings,
which made it even more enjoyable😆

The sea itself is also outstandingly beautiful here,
so while there are no planes coming, you can spend your time watching the sea or cooling off on the beach😎

However, there is really no shade, including in the parking lot, so be sure to take measures against sunburn and heatstroke and stay hydrated💦

Also, during the season, the parking lot fills up early,
so it is best to arrive before the first landing plane arrives for a smoother trip!
