With its sparkling emerald-green "Miyako Blue" ocean, pure white sandy beaches, and delicious cuisine, Miyakojima is a paradise that captivates all who visit!
In this article, we've compiled a list of must-see spots on Miyakojima. 🌴
--------------------
[1] Yabiji (Yabiji)
Located north of Miyakojima, it's about a 15-minute boat ride from Ikema Island.
This area is a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, home to a beautiful coral reef.
A breathtaking view that will leave you in awe!
Be sure to enjoy the beautiful world of coral reefs on a snorkeling tour.
📍Various tours from Ikema Island
💰️Sample boat snorkeling price: around 11,000 yen
[2] Ryugujo Observatory
Kurima Island is connected to the main island of Miyakojima by a bridge.
From Ryugujo Observatory, you can see Yonaha Maehama Beach, said to be the best in the Orient.
Miyakojima has many beautiful beaches, but this one and Yabiji Seaside are exceptional!
There are a few bugs, but I highly recommend going! 😂
📍Shimojikirima, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture 906-0000
[3] Yonaha Maehama Beach
This beach is said to be the most beautiful in the Orient.
It's a paradise of white sand and crystal clear "Miyako Blue."
The water is shallow and the waves are calm.
The fine sand makes it safe for families with children.
You can also enjoy the sunset over the horizon in the evening. ✨️
The Tokyu Hotel is right across the street, so I'd love to stay there someday.
📍1199-1 Shimoji Yonaha, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture 906-0305
[4] Blue Cave
A diving and snorkeling spot on Irabu Island.
This spot is only accessible by boat.
When light shines into the underwater cave, a mysterious blue world unfolds.
I don't have a diving license, so I only participated in a trial dive, but I still managed to spot clownfish and sea turtles. ✨️
📍Access by boat from Irabu Island
💰️Around 20,000 yen (Example price for a two-point boat dive)
[5] Tooriike Pond
Tooriike Pond is a nationally designated natural monument and a famous scenic spot.
The two ponds, large and small, are connected underground and also to the open sea through an underground cave.
It is a mysterious pond known as a power spot, said to bring good luck in love and marital harmony. ✨️
📍Sawada, Irabu, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture 906-0507
There are also other beautiful beaches, such as Aragusuku Beach and Sunayama Beach...
There are so many beautiful beaches that it's impossible to list them all. ✨
In addition to the scenery, Miyakojima is also a great place to stay, with plenty of dining options.
Enjoy a trip with breathtaking views that will leave you with lifelong memories! 😊
