Mt. Tsurugi in Tokushima Prefecture is the second highest mountain in western Japan. From its summit, at 1,955 meters above sea level, a magnificent panorama of the Shikoku Mountains unfolds, making you feel as if you're floating in the sky. ☁️✨
Even beginners can easily access the lift, which takes about 40 minutes to reach the summit. Along the way, I was soothed by the alpine plants and clear air, and felt like I was one with nature. 🌿
The rice balls I ate at the summit were exceptionally delicious! Enjoy a leisurely walk with your partner or enjoy some quiet time alone. It was a truly heart-warming trip. I'd love to return during the autumn foliage season. 🍁

It's about a two-hour drive from JR Tokushima Station. Take the Minokoshi trailhead and then take the lift to the midpoint. The lift operates seasonally, so it's recommended to check in advance.
