Located at Corso Umberto I 149 in the historic town of Modica (Province of Ragusa), this charming museum was inaugurated on 16 April 2014 and is housed in the prestigious Palazzo della Cultura. 

Inside, the museum traces the legacy of the famed Cioccolato di Modica — the unique cold-worked chocolate with IGP status — through displays of historical tools, manufacturing techniques, packaging designs and archival documents.  You’ll find exhibits on the cacao plant, taste the distinct textured bars, and witness the tradition upheld since at least 1746. 

Whether you’re a chocolate lover, food-culture enthusiast or exploring Modica’s enchanting baroque setting, the Museo del Cioccolato offers a brief yet rewarding stop (typically ~30 minutes). Entry is modest (≈ €3) and your ticket includes a small tasting.
