Recommended one-day trip to Mojiko

Mojiko is located in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is a port city full of history and culture. It is only an hour’s drive from Fukuoka City, making it a great place for a day trip. The following is my itinerary for the day, for your reference.

⭐️Mojiko Station⭐️
We arrived at Mojiko Station early in the morning. This station was built in 1914 and is an important cultural property of Japan. The station's European architectural style is very unique and worth taking photos of.

⭐️Mojiko Retro Street⭐️
The Mojiko Retro Street is a short walk from the station. Many buildings from the Meiji and Taisho periods are preserved here, and walking among them feels like traveling through time. You can visit the old Moji Mitsui Club, where Albert Einstein and his wife stayed during their trip to Japan.

⭐️Mojiko Observatory⭐️
After lunch, you can go to the Mojiko Observatory to overlook the entire port and the Kanmon Strait from a high altitude. When the weather is good, you can even see Shimonoseki City on the other side.

⭐️Kyushu Railway Memorial Museum⭐️
Then visit the Kyushu Railway Memorial Museum, where many historical relics and models related to railways are displayed. It is a place not to be missed for railway fans.
