Mojiko Station is both the starting and ending station.
It is also designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

The station plaza has a fountain, and events and other events are apparently held there.
There was nothing there when I visited, lol.

Opened in 1914 (Taisho 3), the station underwent a six-year restoration project in 2019. The event is over.
It's a two-story wooden station building, and its symmetrical design is apparently its defining feature.

There were also historical features, such as the "Keri-mizu" (water to return to the home) and the "Happy Chozu-bachi (water basin)."

It's beautifully lit up at night. ✨️

Make sure to stop by when you're touring the retro Mojiko Port area in Kitakyushu.
