Cinque Terre: Five Villages, Five Unique Impressions

The first village I arrived at by train from La Spezia was Riomaggiore. The sight of the colorful houses clinging to the cliffs was breathtaking. In Manarola, the seafood pasta I enjoyed while overlooking the sea was so delicious that I kept thinking about it throughout the trip, and the sunset there was beyond words.

Corniglia was serene, Vernazza was charming, and Monterosso was perfect for swimming. Each village had its own unique character, yet they all shared a warm and peaceful atmosphere.

Switching between train rides and walking, I was surrounded by the sea and cliffs in front of me and vineyards behind me. For two days, it felt like I was walking through a postcard. Cinque Terre truly lives up to its name as 'the villages where time flows slowly.'
