Mediterranean Vibes in the Heart of Moscow: Sunset Views at Gorky Park

Every time I visit Moscow, I make sure to set aside a few hours to spend at Gorky Park. I especially love coming here in autumn when the trees are painted in golden hues. The atmosphere becomes calm and cozy, and the alleys resemble European parks. I start my walk at the main entrance, take photos of the fountains and sculptures, and then leisurely head towards the embankment. It's a pleasant spot to simply sit and watch people cycling, yogis practicing on the lawns, and young parents with their children.
Practical tip: Download the park map to your phone so you don’t miss interesting areas like "Muzeon" with its modern sculptures or the flower beds near the ponds. Art enthusiasts will enjoy the frequent exhibitions, and the open-air cinema shows indie films during the summer. In winter, the park transforms into a large ice rink where you can skate to music and rent skates on-site.
I appreciate that Gorky Park is free and open almost around the clock, with infrastructure thoughtfully designed for visitors: clean restrooms, relaxation zones, and Wi-Fi. It’s a great place for both tourists and locals. If you’re tired of the noisy city center and want to see a different side of Moscow—modern, green, and welcoming—be sure to visit. I highly recommend Gorky Park to anyone who values a blend of nature, culture, and active leisure.
