Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The Churaumi Aquarium is located in Motobu Town in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. This time, it took us about two hours to drive there from Naha City.
*Here's a small reminder🔔: There are toll booths on the highway, so foreign visitors should use the manual lane!
The aquarium's main building consists of several exhibition areas, with the most famous being the Kuroshio Sea. It's a must-visit spot for taking photos📷 *Remember not to use flash⚡️.
At the exit, there's a free photo experience, which I highly recommend everyone try! It's definitely worth it👍.
The gift shop is also great for browsing. Even though I usually don't buy souvenirs, I couldn't resist taking home two items.
The experience doesn't end outside the aquarium. There's also the Dolphin Theater, Turtle House, and Manatee House, all of which are worth visiting.
At the Dolphin Theater, you can not only watch dolphin performances but also feed the dolphins🐬. The price is affordable, and I recommend everyone try it! However, the summer queues can be very hot, so I suggest buying some water beforehand to avoid heatstroke🥵.
The dolphin show has fixed times, so make sure to check the schedule before entering to avoid missing it.
Overall, if you're visiting Okinawa, this is a great place to include in your itinerary. Many of the experiences here are unique compared to Taiwan. However, I strongly recommend applying sunscreen and staying hydrated during the summer, as there are few shaded areas outdoors. I got sunburned in less than half a day😂.
As for tickets, I purchased mine directly on trip.com. Not only was the price cheaper than other platforms, but they also have dedicated customer service for any issues, which made me feel more at ease😌.
The tickets are QR codes, so you can simply show them at the entrance for scanning, making it very convenient🥰.
