Amazing View of Castle in The Clouds at Mount Emei!

This hike was highly recommended to us by our hotel's staff and we definitely do not regret deciding to go for a day trip!

We got driven to Mount Emei's information center later in the morning and bought our entrance tickets in person there. We also bought a bus ticket that would bring us mid-mountain.

We then had a quick lunch at one of the restaurants there and met some nice locals that gave us some great tips for the hike.

We started our ascent around 1PM, decided to skip the cable car, and decided to hike by foot. After enjoying the mountain views along the hike, we reached the summit around 3PM. There were lots of activities near the Giant Budda statue: you can go ring the bell thrice, light incense for good fortune, and grab some pictures of the castle above the clouds.

Our descent via the cable car only took about 10 minutes but as it was not busy, it was highly enjoyable.
