Mount Emei is one of the four major Buddhist holy sites in China and one of the three major sacred mountains in China.
The gorgeous and luxurious temples and golden Buddha statues that spread out on the peak at an altitude of 3,079m, as well as the spectacular view of the sea of clouds terrace, are truly paradise.
In 1996, it was registered as a World Heritage Site in recognition of its cultural value and the rarity of its natural environment, which consists of approximately 3,700 species of plants and approximately 2,300 species of wild animals.
It is also a national 5A-level scenic area awarded by China.
The second vanguard of Mount Emei You can take a ropeway straight up to the Golden Peak (3,079m), which is the highest peak in the mountain, and then take a cable car to the highest peak, Wanbutsu-ji Temple.
However, be careful as the sudden change in altitude can cause altitude sickness.
Also, the temperature difference from the foot of the mountain is 10 to 15 degrees, so it can get quite cold even in summer.
Don't forget to take measures against the cold.
Be careful, too, as wild, fat monkeys may attack people in an attempt to get food.
