[Brunei] How to get to Brunei🇧🇳

📍Brunei

Brunei is a peaceful Southeast Asian country where nature and culture remain 🇧🇳
As it is still not well known, we will introduce how to get there.

[Airplane]

- Kansai: No direct flights

Stopping through airports in Southeast Asian countries

Stopping points: Cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong

- Kanto: Direct flights available. Royal Brunei Airlines operates

[Time]

- About 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur

- About 6.5 hours from Tokyo

[International Airport]

- Compact, but has souvenir shops and cafes

- After passing through the boarding gate, there is a Starbucks with limited edition goods (a must-see for Starbucks fans)

* Please check that the store will be closed if you take a night flight

[Access to the city]

- It is better not to rely on buses or taxis.
(I didn't see it during my stay)

- Register for the Brunei-only ride-hailing app "dart" in advance

(※ Usage is the same as Uber and Grab, but payment is pre-charged or cash)

- Many people in Brunei own their own cars, so transportation is almost non-functional.

Be careful when going from the airport to the hotel or sightseeing.

[Tipping/Credit Cards]

- There is no tipping culture

- Credit cards can be used in most cases
※ Cash is required as they cannot be used at night markets
※ I selected charge payment on the distribution app, but sometimes I couldn't access it properly and had to pay in cash. It's reassuring to have cash just in case

[Exchange]

- There is an exchange office/ATM at the airport

- There are banks and exchange offices in the city
