[Kochi Prefecture] The National Muroto Youth Nature House, a house of wall art deep in the mountains of Muroto

The National Muroto Youth Nature House is located deep in the mountains on the west side of the Muroto Peninsula in Kochi Prefecture.

As the name suggests, it is originally a forest school facility for boys and girls, but

in 2019, a major project was implemented to invite students from Tokyo University of the Arts to create wall art on the walls of the facility in order to give young people more opportunities to come into contact with art.

The art of the students, inspired by Muroto's nature and the facility, is truly unique.

The works include cool, ink-wash-like drawings of Kobo Daishi/Kukai, who has ties to the Muroto Peninsula, dynamic giant daruma dolls, ink-wash-style dragons, and anime-style pop art.

Of course, admission is free.
The site is large, and there is no particular map to show where the paintings are, so you can enjoy it like a treasure hunt.

The event has been held twice in the past, and there is a possibility that it will be expanded in the future.

There was a B-class spectacular spot in an unexpected place.
